Amos enlisted on September 20, 1942 in Auburn, PA.

He became an army Private First Class which entails workforce training

and learned leadership skills that will help them transition from an

apprentice to the actual workforce. During this time period, it was

common for Private First Class men to carry work gloves, first aid,

headlamps, and notepads.

Amos was stationed in Normandy a few months later and was placed in the

13th Infantry, 8th Division. 

Amos Koch later died on July 14, 1944. He was injured days prior

and died while in care.
